MCE bemoans challenges in revenue mobilization
The Municipal Chief Executive of Kwaebibirem, Mr Seth Antwi Boasiako has said that, revenue mobilization in recent times has been very challenging, in spite of strategies adopted by the Finance and Administration sub-committee to help improve revenue generation in the area.

According to him, the assembly, as at the end of August, 2019 had only mobilized GHs 640,978.00 out of targeted 1, 258, and 645.00 for the year.
The figure represents 50.93 percent of the expected Internally Generated Funds (IGF).
Mr Antwi Boasiako made the revelation at the Assembly’s General meeting held on Tuesday 3rd September at Kade, the municipal capital.
The MCE, in his keynote address called for stakeholder support in order to be able to generate more revenue to help fund the Assembly’s programmes and projects.
He however, disclosed the Assembly’s intention to give out some aspects of its revenue mobilization items such as property rate collection, to a private contractor to help assist the Assembly generate more revenue in that field.
This, he said, would help boost revenue generation in the municipality.
