MCE and Heads of department of the assembly have a close-up with Bryt Fm

On 2nd July 2025, a team from Bryt Fm visited the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly to conduct an interview with the Municipal Chief Executive, Ransford Owusu Boakye, and heads of various departments.

The meeting aimed to interact with the mayor and other relevant Agencies at the assembly to discuss key issues affecting the Municipality, ongoing development projects, and initiatives implemented by the assembly to address challenges facing the area.

Departments engaged were the Department of Agriculture, Madam Tharzia Nimako Akwetey, Ghana Education Services, Mr. Mustapha Haruna Appiah, Physical Planning, Mr. Christian Tetteh, Works Department, Mr. Sam Takyi, Planning Unit Madam Iris Dalaba, Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA), Fortunate Milleyon, City Guard Unit, Madam Elizabeth Owusu and the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Ransford Owusu Boakye welcomed the radio team and expressed his commitment to improving the lives of residents through effective governance and service delivery.

He highlighted ongoing development projects, including infrastructure improvements, social programs, and initiatives to enhance sanitation, transportation, and healthcare. The Municipal Chief Executive emphasized the importance of community participation in decision-making processes and encouraged residents to engage with the assembly on issues affecting their communities.

The Municipal Chief Executive stressed on the reconstruction of the Zongo road and construction of additional CHIP compounds and improve on the existing ones to augment health challenges within the Municipality.
The heads of departments provided valuable insights into their respective areas, discussing challenges, successes, and future plans. They highlighted the assembly's efforts to improve waste management, upgrade infrastructure, and promote economic development in the Municipality.

The interview provided a platform for the Municipal Chief Executive and heads of departments to share their vision for the Municipality and inform residents about his vision to rebuild Koforidua markets to befit metropolitan status.

The radio station team appreciated the assembly's willingness to engage with the media and share information with the public. The programme which was well broadcasted on Bryt Fm, and all other Joy Dady multimedia stations engaged the local communities on issues affecting their communities and the Municipality at large.
