The visit covered key facilities, including an uncompleted toilet facility at Zongo, the Zongo Market, and a six-unit classroom block at Apempoa.

The team also inspected the uncompleted boys’ and girls’ dormitories at the Koforidua School for the Deaf, as well as the Koforidua Sarkodee M/A School, where the computer laboratory had deteriorated with a damaged roof and encroachment challenges.

Other projects visited included a completed 10-seater toilet facility under the “One Million per Constituency” initiative, a two-storey rehabilitation centre and dormitory for street children at Nyamekrom funded by the DACF, and the depleted Agavenya CHPS compound.

The committee also inspected the uncompleted police post at Agavenya, and classroom blocks at Bonya King of Glory Presby Basic and Adweso SDA JHS.

Hon. Owusu Boakye reaffirmed government’s commitment to improving education, health, sanitation, and security infrastructure, and assured that stalled projects would be completed.

He also urged to protect public facilities against encroachment and misuse. Officials noted that the exercise was expected to guide the Assembly’s Tender Committee in future project planning and resource allocation.
