Construction work was interrupted by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in early March of 2020.
A visit to the site by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Mr Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, on Wednesday, 29th April 2020, saw a hub of activities.
A site inspection revealed the casting of foundation concrete, weaving of mats and iron columns.
The site engineer who received the MCE, said work will be intensified in the coming weeks to make up for the lost time.
The MCE said he was happy with the level of work so far.
It would be recalled that on Tuesday, 3rd December 2019, the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, cut the sod for the commencement of the project.
The science based senior high school in Weija was estimated to be completed in September this year, in time to admit its first students.
