#NPP CONGRESS# Blay, Boadu et al to lead NPP ahead of 2020 general elections
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Saturday elected new executives to lead the party ahead of the December 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

The voting, which started mid Saturday and ended late night saw the election and re-election of new and old executives to steer the affairs of the party.
The newly elected executives are expected lead the Party to retain power in the next general elections come December 2020.
Acting Chairman, Mr Freddy Blay received the nod of the delegates to become the substantive Chairman of largest political party after securing 3,021 votes to beat his closest contender, Stephen Ntim who managed only 2,550.
Mr John Boadu also secured his position as the Party’s General Secretary after his landslide victory over Mr Richard Ahiagba, his feared contender.
