The Appointees were sworn-in by His Lordship Richard Mac Kogyapwah after which they introduced themselves to the house.

Out of a total number of Twenty-four (24) appointees, Twenty-two (22) appointees were present for the swearing–in.  There were fourteen (14) male appointees and eight (8) females present.

In a vote of thanks delivered on behalf of the government appointees, Hon. Josephine Osafo assured the house that the appointees would use their knowledge to support the development in the Municipality.

The Presiding Member; Michael Boadi Sarpong further urged all Assembly Members to carry their Act and Model Standing Orders documents at every meeting since it serves  as a stool that will help them in their deliberations.  He also urged Assembly Members to serve the Municipality in love and unity and seek clarification on issues to avoid any misunderstandings.

He further advised them not to be seen as lords over their members but rather put the interest of the country first for this will only help achieve the purpose for which they were appointed by the President.

This would only deepen the democracy which the country has practiced for decades.
