ASUOGYAMAN: Safe Water Network Ghana commissions Water Project in Labolabo
Safe Water Network, a non-profit organization has commissioned a new water project for the people of Labolabo in the Asuogyaman District in the Eastern Region.

Mr Charles Nimako Country Director for Safe Water Network Ghana, remarked that a lot of communities need water and that's what Safewater is striving to achieve.
He said Safe Water has provided water to 120 communities in Ghana and 400,000 people across the country.
He said there is small charge of 10 pesewas to cater for people working in the communities and also to provide electricity to power the water.
Mr Nimako made it clear nothing goes to safe water and the financiers in the provision of water to the communities.
The Country Director said it is the objective of Safe Water to provide water to 250 communities across the country.
Mr Nimako in closing his remarks said he was grateful to the DCE and the chiefs and people of Labolabo for their support.
Victoria Todd a representative from One Foundation, the financiers of the project, was pleased to be in Ghana and the Community to witness the commissioning of the project.
She was grateful to their partners Co-op for partnering them to make the project possible.
Mr. Samuel Kwame Agyekum, District Chief Executive for Asuogyaman District expressed delight for the project and said the community should count themselves lucky for such a project.
He said the government is working hard to ensure projects like these are realized in the communities.
The DCE was also grateful to One Foundation and others for the financial support in actualizing the project and taking some pressure of him.
