DAFFIAMA: Construction of health centre for Pulbaa community progresses
Work has started on the construction of a health facility (CHPS Compound) at Pulbaa community in the Daffiama/Bussie/Issa District of the Upper West Region estimated to cost GHC210, 373.26.

The community has never had a health facility and has all along been depended on Fian, Bussie, Daffiama health facilities amongst others for health care services.
The dream of the district to have a well-functioning health facilities in all communities is on course the DCE has stated. The district currently has Eighteen (18) health facilities in the district including, 5 health centers and 13 CHPS compounds.
The average distance to a health facility is 9km which lags behind the National target of 5-kilometer maximum distance.
Nurse/patient ratio stands at 1:1406 and the district has neither a hospital nor a Medical Doctor. The district now has a Medical Laboratory.
There are no ambulance services in the district to facilitate movement of emergency referral cases.
As a matter of fact, The District Chief Executive for Daffiama/Bussie/Issa District Nadi Imoro Sanda working on the health needs of the district assured that with work on the Pulbaa facility progressing steadily, that the Pulbaa community will soon have complete access to their own health facility (CHPS).
