Asutifi North inaugurates District Census Implementation Committee
As part of the preparations towards the 2020 Population and Housing Census (PHC), the Asutifi North District Assembly inaugurated the District Census Implementation Committee (DCICs).

DCICs is essentially to solicit the support of Regional Coordinating Councils, District Assemblies and other relevant stakeholders at the local level for the successful implementation of the Census.
According to Mr. Bernard Oduro, Regional Statistician of Ahafo, the inauguration of the DCICs will provide an opportunity for the District to plan, develop and make decisions very well. He urged the committee to work hand in hand for a successful 2020 PHC.
Mr. Anthony Adjei Mensah DCE of the District said to improve the timeliness of Census results, it is expected that the Assembly, chiefs, and people of the district support every effort of the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS). We shall also mobilize our people to make themselves available during the census period, he added.
“Therefore, I wish to remind the DCICs that the success of the census in the district depends on their extent to which they diligently execute their task. Therefore the success of the census will be attributed to your commitment to duty, and the seriousness attached to this very important assignment”.
