Assembly Member cautions Fulani herdsmen over activities in schools

Assembly Member for Ahenfie Electoral Area in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region, Mr. Kassim Mohammed has expressed his disapproval of the activities of cattle herdsmen at the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Cluster of Schools.

The Assembly member who doubles as a member of the School’s Management Committee indicated that the constant nuisance by the cattle in the school has been disrupting teaching and learning, adding that the herdsmen intentionally bring their animals to the school to graze disregarding the presence of the school children.

He further stated that efforts to halt the activities of the herdsmen and their cattle in the school have failed due to the hostility of the herdsmen as well as shared neglect by the authorities.

Mr. Mohammed then called on the Municipal Chief Executive for the area, Dr. Prince Kwakyi Afriyie, Member of Parliament for Wenchi, Alhaji Seidu Haruna and other stake holders to help construct a massive fence wall.
