Wenchi MCE inspects ongoing projects

The Municipal Chief Executive Alexander K. Obour Damoah has inspected some selected ongoing projects in the area.

The tour formed part of his Project Monitoring schedule to assess the quality of work being done to ensure value for money and timely completion of the projects. The projects included the Wenchi Sports Field Complex Project with associated facilities such as the Dressing Room, VIP Stand, the Press Box, etc.

The Facility now has Water Closets Toilet, Mechanized Borehole with 3 Water Storage Tanks. Any moment from now, the Sports Field Complex would be commissioned for use.

At the Old Station, the Chief Executive inspected ongoing 2-Storey 26-Unit Lockable Market Stores Project in between the Entry and Exit Points and 32-Unit Lockable Market Stores Project ongoing along the GPRTU Block. The 26-Unit Lockable Market Stores would be commissioned in due course.

The visit afforded MCE the opportunity to interact with the Contractors on the Project Sites as well as the affected traders who had had to adjust to pave way for construction of the projects. He assured them of timely completion of the projects.

The MCE also inspected ongoing work on 1No.6-Unit Classroom Block with auxiliary facilities and Mechanized Borehole with metal Stand and Water Storage Tank at Akete.

In his comments on the Projects, the Chief Executive expressed satisfaction about the progress of work and charged the Contractors to deliver decent and quality work to ensure value for money.

The MCE was accompanied by the Municipal Works Engineer Bernard Kwadwo Opoku and the Municipal Information Officer of the Assembly Stanick Sofel Amuzu Kpodo.
