Regional Minister tours Asutifi North District

Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh has embarked on a day tour of the Asutifi North District as part of activities to familiarize and obtain firsthand information of development projects undertaken in the area and initiate new interventions to improve on the living standard of the people in the district.

He reiterated government’s commitment to delivering on her campaign promises with the swift implementation of most of its social interventions and appealed to residents to take advantage of such governments interventions to make life better.

Hon. Asomah Cheremeh made these remarks at separate durbars organized in his honour by the Wamahinso, Ntotroso, Kenyasi No.2 and Kenyasi No.1 Traditional Councils when he paid a courtesy call on them as part of the tour.



He commended the area for their overwhelming support for the election of the NPP to power and assured them of government’s readiness to invest heavily in education, health, agriculture, roads and water and sanitation services to speed development and industrialization as a way of providing jobs for the teeming youth in the area.

He called for peace and unity and appealed to the youth to exercise patience and allow the special committee to settle the impasse between them and Newmont Gold Ahafo Mines to accelerate the areas development.



The paramount chiefs on their part appealed to government to expedite action on the payment of their royalties to enable execute their development projects.

The further called on government for more investment in social programmes in the traditional areas.



The Minister was accompanied by officials of the Brong Ahafo Regional coordinating Council, Asutifi District Assembly and Party supporters.
