MCE distributes PPEs to institutions

The Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly has distributed sanitizers and reusable nose masks to Traders at the Kisseman Market, the Office of the National Chief Imam Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, Lapaz Community Clinic Kisseman, Abeka Chief's Palace, Akweteyman Chief's Palace, Achimota Chief's Palace, and some institutions to augment the government’s effort at checking the further spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Boye Laryea donating the items stated that the gesture is to help and reduce the spread and assist the health facilities to take care of its patients in this COVID season.

The MCE also ordered the provision of four Veronica Bucket stands and two Veronica Buckets for the market in its quest to further boost the fight against the disease in the Municipality.

Mr. Laryea urged the market women who have caregivers to leave their children at home and desist from bringing them to the market to avoid them contracting the virus as most kids cannot wear nose masks.
