STMA supports Sekondi Traditional Council

The Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly has presented a laptop to the registry of Sekondi Traditional Council to help them execute their mandate in the Metropolis.

The Mayor of Sekondi-Takoradi, Abdul-Mumin Issah on behalf of the Assembly presented the laptop to the council. The Mayor was in the company of the Metro Coordinating Director, Mr. John Nana Owu and Metro Public Relations Office, Mr. John Laste.

In his remarks, Mayor Abdul-Mumin Issah indicated that the donation was made in response to the request by the Sekondi Traditional Council. He said the presentation is in line with the Assembly’s commitment to support the Traditional Councils in the Metropolis towards the development of the city.

He urged the council to ensure judicious use of the machine to serve the purpose for which it was requested. He assured Nananom of the Assembly’s readiness to support them in any possible way within its limited budget.

Nana Barima Ekow Gyesa II, the Acting President of the Sekondi Traditional Council, on behalf of the council received the machine and thanked the Assembly for the gesture.

He said the presentation will go a long way to enhance the performance of the council’s registry.
