North Tongu: Operation “OBEC” launched

Operation Brighten Every Corner (OBEC) has been launched in the South Tongu constituency leading to the installation of 1,000 streetlights to brighten the various communities within the constituency.

The Member of Parliament (MP) Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa who launched the operation said it is expected to light up all communities, markets, social centers, Lorry Park, river crossing points, and on the roads.

However, OBEC is beginning with all senior high schools to ensure and improve visibility for students and teachers at night and to strengthen the security as schools have resumed.

He further expressed his gratitude to the OBEC task force, Education Director, and all school heads that helped in making the operation a success.
