NKORANZA S: MCE visits collapsed bridge at Salam community

The Salam community in the Nkoranza South Municipality is appealing to the government, the Municipal Chief Executive and the Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly to come to their aid in reconstructing the only bridge that link them to other communities.

Being one of the main food growing communities in the municipality, the collapse of the bridge is adversely affecting them as they find it very difficult to access their farms.

They made the appeal when the Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Diana Attaa Kusiwaa in the company of some officials of the assembly paid a visit to the Salam community to inspect the collapsed bridge.

They also expressed worry over lack of electricity in some parts of the community and called for electricity expansion to those areas.

The MCE however commended the people for working together through communal labour to remedy the situation while the powers that be find lasting solution to the people.

She urged them to always get involved in such activities adding that communal labour is very important for community development.

The MCE donated one thousand Ghana cedis, GHc1, 000.00 and some food and water to support the people in their communal labour.

The MCE, Diana Attaa Kusiwaa finally assured the people of the Salam community of efforts to put the bridge back for them.
