First phase of state-of-the-art market in Nkoranza ready for commissioning

The highly anticipated phase 1 of the state-of-the-art market facility in Nkoranza Municipal, part of the Secondary City project, is now ready for commissioning and handing over to the Municipal Assembly.

The official commissioning ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 25, at 3:00 pm at the Nkoranza New market.

Key features of the projects set to be commissioned under phase 1 include: 50 lockable stores, 100 open stores, 1 police post, 1 health post and a three-unit classroom block that will serve as a creche.

On Thursday, October 26, 2023, the former Local Government Minister, Dan Botwe, initiated the construction of this ultra-modern market facility for Nkoranza Municipal.

The construction works were planned to be carried out in three phases, with Phase 1 now ready for commissioning. The commencement of works on Phases 2 and 3 is expected to follow soon.

A4 Construction Limited, along with other construction firms and AESL consultants, will be responsible for handing over the completed projects to the Municipal Chief Executive for the Nkoranza Municipality.
