He described the intervention as a major relieve to the assembly stating that the DCE currently resides in a rented accommodation that the assembly pays for and having their own accommodation will not only save them money but also it will ensure that the building would be built to specification of the Assembly, and added that the Ministry has promised to commence construction soon.

He said as a new district they are struggling with office space for a number of the decentralized institutions like the district health directorate, district directorate of the Ghana Education Service which currently operates from a rented apartment, Ghana Immigration Service that wants to create a district but are yet to get space for them, the Ghana Fire Service and all other government institutions.

He said looking at their resources they will not be able to afford all these unless the government intervenes.

It is in view of this that he appealed to government and other relevant institutions for support to have these structures in place for effective administration of the district.

This notwithstanding, the DCE said they have done well by way of infrastructure development as a new district so far.
