The motorbikes were received after fruitful negotiations between the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) and the Government to ensure that Assembly members throughout the country are equipped to be able to carry out their mandate.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area and President of NALAG, Bismark Baisie Nkum was optimistic that the motorbikes would aid Assembly Members in the discharge of their duties effectively and efficiently.

The DCE also expressed his profound gratitude to President Akufo-Addo and his Vice President, Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia for a record time delivery of the motorbikes.

“This is unprecedented in the annals of the Local Assemblies as motorbikes were, usually, given out in the last year of the tenure of Assembly Members”, Mr Nkum noted.

He therefore, called on Assembly members to use the motorbikes for its intended purpose in order to foster development in their electoral areas.
