Effutu Assembly reiterates commitment to improve education
Mr John Ninson, Municipal Chief Executive of the Effutu Municipality has reiterated the assembly’s commitment to improve education in the municipality.

Out of the 1,285 candidates in Effutu Municipality who wrote the 2017 Basic Education Certificate Examination 881 passed, he announced at the third ordinary meeting of the assembly.
He said most of the school in the municipality lacked furniture and the assembly was working at providing dual desks to every school as medium term solution while a long term policy is drawn to address the situation.
We shall also provide some facilities to some overcrowded school especially the Unipra South School in order to contain the numbers.
Mr Ninson said the financial situation of the Assembly was not bad but there was room for improvement and they would create mini stalls and markets to serve the people within the municipality while maximising revenue collection.
He mentioned five projects financed by the common fund that had been completed and delivered as the construction of the office complex (Phase one), a 16-seater aqua privy toilet at Nsuekyi, Extension of electricity from the main transformer at the Seed Company to the Winneba Abattoir, External lighting and connection of electricity to the main administration block (Office Complex) and procurement of waste bins for the assembly.
