MCE observes “my first day at school"
The Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, as part of his regular tour of schools within the Municipality at the beginning of every academic year, has embarked on a visit to the Ayirebi Yankson M/A Basic school to observed and welcome fresh pupils on their first day.

The school which was commissioned in 2022 welcomed its first batch of students as parents thronged into the school to seek admission for their wards.
The MCE, who was accompanied by the Municipal Director of Education, Madam Mabel Judith Micah and other senior officials of the Municipal Education Directorate was to formally welcome the pupils to school for the first time to mark the beginning of the academic calendar.
Alhaji Zubairu Kassim also seized the opportunity to distribute some items including, pencils, cups, drinks and biscuits to the pupils most of whom tasted formal education for the first time.
He cautioned the teachers against acts that are likely to affect the development of the children, and further advised them to commit themselves into making the school one of the best in the Municipality and the country as a whole.
He also called on the Municipal Education Directorate to ensure a continuous and effective monitoring of teaching and learning to raise the standard of education in the Municipality.
Madam Mabel Judith Micah, the Municipal Director of Education, on her part lauded the contribution of the Municipal Chief Executive and the Municipal Assembly in her outfit’s quest at achieving the goals of education within the Effutu Municipality.
She advised the teachers to offer a selfless and dedicated service by imparting knowledge in the pupils to make them useful citizens in future.
Madam Micah warned teachers not to transfer their personal worries and troubles on the pupils who may have little or no role in such matters; a situation she said may derail the realization of their goals as well as professional standards as teachers.
