E GONJA: PWDs receive ruminants

The Municipal Chief Executive of East Gonja Municipal Assembly (EGMA), Muhammad Tamim has on behalf of the Assembly presented 130 ruminants to people with Disabilities (PWDs) as part of their fair share of 3% of District Assembly Common Fund DACF.

Six-three (63) members of those who are physically challenged received two ruminants each for rearing.

The MCE was not happy that some previous beneficiaries from these ruminants distribution sold them instead of rearing them to multiply to enable them survive on them.

He said the Assembly is now very cautious to give to those who will make good use of it by rearing them to multiply to enable them to make or easily get livelihood happily on their own.

Both the Chairman and Secretary of Municipal PWDs were happy for receiving the animals since this is not the 1st time and promised to monitor to make sure that all beneficiaries now make good use of it.
