GA South inaugurates Public Health Emergency Committee

The Ga South Municipal Assembly has inaugurated its Public Health Emergency Committee to spearhead the sensitization and control of COVID-19 within the municipality.

The committee which is composed of the Municipal Chief Executive, the Security Service, Municipal Health Directorate, Municipal Environmental Health Unit, NADMO, and Ghana Education Service is mandated to:

Ensure the setup of public sensitization terms under the overall guidance of the committee
Ensure the enforcement of the bye-laws on food security, environmental sanitation, hygiene, entertainment, and outdoor activities,
Ensure the availability of handwashing facilities with running water and hand sanitizers at vantage points in the markets and all public places.

The citizenry is therefore entreated to abide by the directives of the Ghana Health Service to help control the spread of the virus.
