Be Professionals - Nana Ato tells staff of LGS
The Head of Local Government Service, Dr. Nana Ato Arthur and his team from the Local Government Service have paid a working visit to Daffiama Bussie Issa District Assembly in the Upper West Region.

Nana Arthur clled on staff of the assembly to try display high level of professionalism in the discharge of their daily activities in order to serve the people well.
Speaking to the gathering, Dr. Nana Ato Arthur said, the mandate of the local Government Service was to build the capacity of staff to deliver results and the purpose of their visit was to share the practice of professionalism to improve local governance in Ghana.
The Head of Local Government Service urged staff of IGS to be professionals and stop sharing confidential documents in the Assemblies on social media.
He advised all staff to be punctual, take training programs seriously and produce reports on workshop attended for future reference.
Dr Nana Ato again urged them to share best practices among themselves to improve performance at their respective districts and also cautioned finance and revenue units against revenue leakage and advised revenue collectors to be patriotic.
He called on the Assembly to improve on sanitation issues and rid the district from filth.
The District Chief Executive Mr Nadi Imoro Sands who welcomed the entourage on behalf of assembly indicated how privileged it was for the tem to be in their midst.
Mr. Sands used the occasion to highlight some of their challenges as a district including; absence of a district hospital, lack of office accommodation, insufficient office equipment, absence of a Magistrate/District Court among others, and appealed to Dr. Ato Arthur to always have Daffiama Bussie Issa in mind when it comes to sharing of the national cake.
