NJSMCE Engaged Koforidua market traders on fee fixing

In line to develop the district level in their social and economic services, management of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly under the leadership of the Chief Executive, Ransford Owusu Boakye with his coordinating directors engaged traders from Koforidua central, Juaben Serwaa, Agartha, beads market on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Municipal Assembly conference hall.

The objective of the meeting is to discuss on the new fee fixing and the renewal of 2021 tenancy agreement. This engagement also sorts to help increase the revenue basket in order for the Assembly to foster development in the Municipality.

The traders led by Nana Yaa from the central market voiced their challenges at their markets, i.e.; faulty lights, theft, fire outbreak, recalcitrant pragea drivers, insufficient sheds for traders, poor state of gutters and others.

After agreeing to the new fees discussed, MCE promised them to fix their challenges at the right time as management of the Assembly has captioned all their raised concerns.

He added that the Assembly is poised to support businesses in the municipality therefore urged the traders to pay their taxes on time in order to cater for their challenges.
