Nana Kwasi Manya said for over 15 years, the 120 pupils of the school and their teachers did not have toilet facility and the children often soiled themselves on their way to toilet in their homes.

He some of the teachers under the circumstances also defaecated under cocoa trees.

The Asafohene offered cement, WC- seater, door, packet of nails and dug the manhole, while the school provided 150 blocks and three roofing sheets.

He told journalists at Adarkwa that the people did not organise clean-up exercises to tidy their environment and feared that there could be communicable diseases when the rains set in.

Nana Manya also expressed worry that the municipal assembly had not done enough to bring governance to the citizenry by ascertaining at first hand, information on what was happening at the local level and to examine their problems and find lasting solutions to them.

He said there were only few homes with toilet facilities thereby compelling many others to go in for open defaecation.
