Kwahu West to get modern hatchery at Oframase

Under the One - District One - Factory flagship project introduced by the Akufo-Addo led government, the Kwahu West Municipality in the Eastern Region is benefiting from a modern hatchery located at Kwahu Oframase.

The factory is almost completed and it is expected to hatch 28,000 day old chicks per cycle for our local poultry market in the area.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Yaw Owusu Addo, made this known at the Last Town Hall Meeting of the year to showcase some developmental projects in the area.

He noted that the government has transformed the lives of the people through the modernized agriculture and job creation.

Mr. Addo said poultry farmers can now acquire their day – old chicks at the hatchery factory when in full operation, adding that the factory will process 64,000birds per day.

He suggests that, since the people were livestock farmers, they could be assisted to expand their farms and rear the animals for export to generate foreign exchange for the country
