Volta Regional Minister commissions projects at North Tongu

The Volta Regional Minister Dr. Archibald Y. Letsa with his entourage visited the North Tongu District.

He first paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief and President of the Battor Traditional Council who is also the Vice President of the Volta Region House of Chiefs,Togbega Patamia Dzekley VII.

Togbega Patamia Dzekley VII heartily welcomed them into Battor and shared some of the needs and concerns of the area.
In his response, he informed the Council that the concerns and issues he had shared with him would be given the needed attention. As part of the tour, the Minister commissioned a 4-No. Market sheds which have been cataloged into eighty stalls at the Battor Market.

He again commissioned an office (station) for the National Ambulance Service in the District, and an office for the Business Advisory Centre under the Rural Enterprise Programme.The two projects are located near the District Assembly Office.

Finally, he held a meeting at the Assembly with the staff of the North Tongu District Assembly and some staff of other public institutions and appreciated their contributions towards service delivery and the provision of public goods in the district.
Mr Letsa used the meeting to admonish them against practices and conducts that are inimical to the growth of the district, and at variance with the best practices in the public service of the nation. We did not minced words in stating that such practices and conducts would attract the necessary sanctions.

The Minister was accompanied by the District Chief Executive, Mr. Divine Osborne Fenu, and Key Officers of the Regional Coordinating Council.
