Assembly commissions lockable stores and maternity block

The Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal Assembly has commissioned 26 lockable stores at Toase and maternity block at Asakraka to help bridge infrastructural deficit in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Michael Awuku Amoah indicated that the lockable stores built at a cost of GHC999,527.00 was undertaken by the Assembly with funds from the its share of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) and the Response Factor Grant (RFG) to promote economic activities and improve the livelihoods of the people in the area.

He further stated that the 30-bed maternity ward at a cost of GHC316000 for the Asakraka health center was also funded from the DACF as part of efforts to provide quality health and maternal care for the people in the community.

He mentioned some achievements of the government in health, education, agriculture, economy, transportation and electricity and urged the people to maintain the government to complete the ongoing projects

Nana Aboagye Asare, Hiawu Beseasehene, thanked the Assembly and called for the completion of a road construction work in the area.

Present were the Member of Parliament for the area Mr. Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere, the Parliamentary Candidate for NPP, Madam Shirley Kyei, Nana Yim Awere Ababio Toasehene, Nana Aboagye Asare 111 Beseasehene and others
