On October 11th , 2017, it was reported that the tutors of the college, were forced to lock up their principal office reasoned that he (principal) has been running the school like his own house and putting his wife on the nursing training non- mechanized pay roll which she does no service to the school.
In respect to these issues, letters were sent to the acting head of Health training institutions, and copied the Regional Director of Health Services, the Upper East Regional Minister, the Minister for Health, and the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), to investigate the principal conduct, but for the past three months not the EOCO, the Ministry of Health, or any of the above names have come out with positive responses.
The tutors, numbering about 18, and students are now in dilemma as to when or how action will prevail because there aren't been any activities going on in the school since the matter started, and more to the point, the principal is nowhere to be found to inform tutors and students when school will be reopening or when the students will rewrite their previous semester exams, which was held due to the corruption scandal that was labeled against the principal, Bawa Awula.
" By now this matter would have been resolved, but I believe it has been concocted by politics. Imagine someone who is spending Ghc96millions on only tomatoes per semester, and will still be allowed to walk in and out of his office, and does whatever he likes. Again,I can't think straight when someone has to pay his wife when she is totally doing no services to the school or even being in the school", one tutor name withheld said.
The tutors and some of the students are now calling on the ministry of health to intervene immediately or else, what will happen to the school, it will not like it.
