DCE cuts sod for the construction of 25.km road

A sod cutting ceremony has been held in the Afigya Kwabre North District to pave way for work to commence on a 25 kilometer road at Kyekyewere, a community in the district.

Performing the sod-cutting ceremony, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area Mr. Kwasi Karikari Achamfour indicated that, a total of 25 kilometers of road from Adukro Junction to Kyekyewere will be given a bitumen surface.

He added that 11 kilometer road construction is currently ongoing on Ahenkro to Boamang the District capital.

He said the road project is being financed by the central government with KCL Construction Company as the contractor and promised that the current government would embark on an aggressive road development in the District.

Mr. Achamfour also noted that the dusty and dilapidated nature of the roads constantly became a source of worry but expressed his delight that the project was finally going to be worked on.
