AMA donates to Accra Psychiatric Hospital
The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has donated food items to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital as part of its social intervention services.

The food items include, five bags each of rice and maize, carton of tomato paste and a box of fresh tomatoes and a cheque for GHs 5,000.
Dr Alfred OkoVanderpuije, Accra Metropolitan Chief Executive, making the presentation, said it was AMA’s desire to put some smile on the faces of the inmates so that they could feel that they are part of the society.
He promised more support to the hospital, including its infrastructural needs to enable the staff to effectively deliver their services to mankind.
He urged the hospital authorities to count on the AMA at all times for support.
Dr Vanderpuije said Government is more committed to solve the challenges of the health sector.
Dr Adjoa Pinaman Appau, the Hospital Director, expressed gratitude to the AMA for the kind gesture.
She said apart from the infrastructural challenges, the provision of the food items came as a relief to the management of the hospital.
