Gomoa West expands School Feeding to cover more schools
Government has expanded the school feeding programme from 21 to 67 schools in the Gomoa West District to help increase enrollment at the basic school level.

The schools include; Mumford Catholic A, Mumford Catholic B, Mumford Methodist A and Mumford Methodist B and Akyemfo, Obiri, Amaful/fawomanye, Kyiren, Ngyiresi/Adaa, Asin, Asempayin, Odumase/Antseadze, Olefreku, Sinbrofo, Ankamu D/A, Apam Catholic, Salvation Army, Oguaa MDCC/ Akwakrom /Nkoranza, Enyeme, Nduam, Okwawu united, Manpong, kokofu, Abamkrom, Eshiem Catholic basic schools.
The rest are Eshiem Islamic, Mozano, Mankesim, Mankoadze, Tarkwa Islamic, Tarkwa Catholic, Tarkwa Methodist, Brofo, Koforidua, Onyadze/otsew schools among others.
This was disclosed when District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Mr. Bismark Baisie was addressing Assembly members at the Assembly’s second ordinary meeting in Apam last week.
The DCE, who further revealed that the expansion has helped create over 300 direct jobs for caterers in the area, also lauded the government for expanding the programme to cover more schools in the area.
He again revealed that, the Assembly was also making frantic efforts to ensure that the programme is further expanded to cover three remaining communities including, Abrekum, Mprumem, Abotsia and Akyempim.
The DCE thus seized the opportunity to urge parents to enroll their wards in school to help them become better people in the future.
