Addressing Assembly Members at the first ordinary meeting of the third session of the seventh assembly, District Chief Executive for Gomoa West, Bismark Nkum said though he identified a number of school blocks that are dilapidated and pose serious danger to the pupils and teachers during his familiarization tour of communities, the condition of the Gomoa Techiman school leaves much to be desired.

"I consider it as an emergency project which should be constructed without delay", he stated.

He has therefore tasked the District Engineers to work out the quantities to enable them award the construct for its construction very soon.

Also, following a rainstorm that rendered the three (3) unit pavilion classroom block at Obiri unusable and more of a death trap, the DCE has ordered that the structure should not be used.

And this project is also being worked on by the Engineer for it to be awarded on contract for reconstruction.
