MCE commends Akim Kotoku traditional council
The Municipal Chief Executive for Birim Central Municipal Assembly, Mrs. Victoria Adu has expressed her sincere thanks to the Chiefs and people of Akim Kotoku traditional area for their enormous support.

She explained that for many years the market has been the biggest among all traditional areas around and is the major place where foodstuffs and other farm produce are brought for sale.
She made this known at the sod cutting ceremony which took place at old premie.
According to her the market upon completion will serve many communities and also bring development and business opportunities to the community. She thanked President Nana Addo and the Member of Parliament for the area Mr. Alexander Akwasi Acquah ensuring that their community is benefiting immensely from the World Bank project.
According to the MCE, the sod cutting is not only for the construction of the Lockable stores but also includes the construction of a precast blocks paving of old premier market {3000sqm} and construction of 600mm Diameter concrete “’U” drain {240m} to help solve the problem of flooding in the municipality anytime it rains.
She explained that the market upon completion would be given first to the market women who were originally selling there and not be given any other person unless everyone has been sorted out first.
Mrs. Adu implored the Chiefs to remember to pray for the President to enable him brings more development to their doorstep and also the President will continue to fulfill his promises so long as they continue to support him.
She assured that all artisans that would be needed for the projects would be recruited from their community when the need arise.
