Speaking at a meeting in Nyankpala, Hon. Braimah detailed ongoing initiatives aimed at boosting economic activity, empowering youth, and improving educational infrastructure.

He revealed that construction of a 24-hour economy market is currently underway to support local businesses and encourage entrepreneurship. The project, recently handed over to contractors, has been welcomed by community elders as a major step toward strengthening Tolon’s local economy.

The DCE also highlighted the success of the National Youth Authority apprenticeship programme, which has equipped dozens of young people with vocational and entrepreneurial skills in trades such as hairdressing and dressmaking — helping them establish sustainable livelihoods.

In addition, Hon. Braimah announced the rollout of the “Feed Ghana” programme, under which 893 residents have been trained and registered to enhance food production and improve household incomes.

On education, he cited the renovation of the Galankpegu D/A Primary School in April 2025 as a key intervention to improve learning conditions for pupils. He emphasized that these projects reflect the district’s commitment to inclusive development and improving the quality of life for residents.
