Ahafo-Ano Assembly achieves 91.1 per cent of 2009 revenue target
The Ahafo-Ano North District Assembly achieved 91.12 per cent of its targeted revenue from traditional sources in 2009, the District Chief Executive, Mr David Addai Amankwah said on Thursday.

It collected a total GH¢ 113,663.78 out of the projected figure of GH¢ 124,633.60.
Addressing a meeting of the Assembly at Tepa, Mr Amankwah said it hoped to collect GH¢ 175.448.60 as its Internally Generated Funds for this year.
He said it was important they intensified their efforts to raise revenue collection performance in order to provide more development projects in the communities.
Mr Amankwah said the Assembly would do everything to block all revenue leakages and ensure that rates, tolls and fees owed to the assembly were paid.
He said to help promote education in the area, the Assembly would inject GH¢ 105,833.14 into the refurbishment of schools infrastructure and create the right conditions for effective academic work.
Mr Amankwah added that they would support brilliant but needy pupils and students with scholarship.
He also touched on the national forest plantation programme and said they had acquired a large swath of land for the purpose.
They would engage 300 unemployed youth for the programme.
