Assembly members confirm Ellembelle DCE

Mr Daniel K. Eshun, the President’s nominee as Ellembelle District Chief Executive has been unanimously confirmed by the assembly.

The 49 out of the 54 assembly members present endorsed Mr Eshun in an election supervised by Mr Stephen Opoku, Western Regional Manager of the Electoral Commission.

Mr Eshun thanked God, President John Dramani Mahama Mahama and the assembly members for the honour to continue with his work.

He expressed gratitude to heads of departments and the chiefs for their contribution towards the rapid development of the area.

Mr Emmanuel Armah- Kofi Buah, Minister of Energy and Petroleum Resources, said he would continue to sponsor the education of students and provide infrastructural development for schools.

Mr Shaibu Issaka, Presiding Member of the assembly said as a young district it behoves all to work in concert to champion development.

Mr Osei Poku, Chief Director at the Regional Coordinating Council, asked the district to forge ahead in unity and development to maintain its record as one of the best districts in the country.
