This was disclosed by the District Chief Executive of the Wa East Assembly, Mr Jotie Moses in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com on a start of a new classroom block for the community.

The DCE narrated that the Yaru Junior High School has been in a terrible state and as a matter of fact the students have to travel long distance to get to school.

But till now the structure remains the same and this initiative is to provide concrete school block, and also teachers’ quarters that can last longer and provide better teaching and learning environment for the students and teachers.

Currently, contractors are on site working and he said this will save them from developmental deficiency and raise their standards of living.

He further said the assembly is currently working in distributing dual desks to schools to solve challenges with furniture.

Mr. Jotie Moses indicated that the project will be completed in two months adding funds for the project are sourced from District Assembly’s common fund.
