Hon. Benjamin Kessie made the remarks on Tuesday, 2nd November, 2021 during an interview with Nana Adjei on Space 87.9 fm in Tarkwa.

Hon. Benjamin Kessie re-echoed his vision for the Tarkwa- Nsuaem Municipality as he recounted the massive infrastructure, improved internally generated revenues and the implementation of social and economic programmes witnessed in his last short tenure of office.
According to him, most major linked roads in the municipality are either being under construction or made motorable to allow for easy traffic flow, adding, there would be much improvement from November next year.

He also mentioned that, the major business centre of the Municipality, market circle and the Tarkwa community centre would be transformed into ultramodern edifices. In addition, major streets in these areas would be beautified to make the Municipality more attractive to residents and visitors.

Hon. Kessie divulged that, the current state of the assembly is unable to solve a lot of problems facing the Municipality due to lack of resources as a result of its poor financial state.

He said whiles Contractors are on site to commence work on the main Tarkwa – Takoradi road, works are also ongoing on the major town roads as well.

“I strongly believe that by this time in 2022, there would be a substantial improvement on our road network”, the MCE added.
Hon. Kessie further indicated that due to the scarce limited resources available, the Assembly will consider the road sector among its topmost priorities.

Touching on the plans for Mahamo School, the MCE disclosed that the contract has been awarded, including that of Bogrekrom and Israel. He said, his outfit will ensure every town or village in the municipality has at least a basic school facility.
