BONGO: Assembly to construct 3 unit classroom block for Akulyoo

The Bongo District Assembly is to construct a three-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at a cost of GH¢ 196,000 for the Akulyoo Primary School.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Area, Mr Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga, who made this known in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, said a large parcel land has been identified and earmarked for the project.

He disclosed that the project is scheduled to complete within six months to help complement an already-existing three-unit classroom block for the school.

The school, which was established in 2013, now has a population of about 183 pupils, but nothing to show for with regards to infrastructure.

The DCE thus called on residents of the Area to support the contractor to complete the project on schedule and also help protect the school’s properties.

He further disclosed that the community would soon be hooked to the national electrification grid, which would assist students with their studies and boost economic activities in the area.
