The presentation was in fulfillment of a promise he made to authorities and pupils of the school during a fact-finding visit for first-hand information about the conditions and challenges of the school.
The DCE at a ceremony to handover the uniforms said the government would include the Goo-Atandaa Primary and Kindergarten to the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) to encourage the children to attend school.
Mr. Ayamga charged parents to ensure that the uniforms were regularly kept clean and maintained to serve their purpose and insisted that they must endeavour to stitch the uniforms immediately they are torn.
He further appealed to parents and community members to assist the school authorities to offer the best education to their children and expressed the hope that some of the pupils would become industrious and responsible citizens of the nation.
Mr. Ayamga announced that basic education would be upgraded to include Senior High School (SHS) in September this year, adding that, the Programme would be streamlined to benefit only students who attained aggregate 25 and must ensure that students took their studies seriously.
He said the initiative would further ensure that quality products were churned out of SHSs across the country.
The DCE disclosed that Dr. Patricia Essilfie, a Philanthropist and founder of the Boys and Girls Club of Ghana, in 2016, funded the construction of a nine-unit classroom block for the school, which was under construction, and said the Assembly had drilled a borehole near the construction site to facilitate the project.
Mr. Ayamga however, expressed disappointment that the project had come to a halt for about a year owing to petty disagreements among some community leaders and committee members assigned to oversee the success of the project.
Naba Adaam Nyaaba, the Regent of Goo, thanked the DCE on behalf of the community for the gesture and gave the assurance that members of the community would work to ensure the successful completion of the school project to promote effective academic activities.
Mr. Albert Adongo Atarizina, headteacher of the school expressed gratitude to the DCE for the gesture and appealed to him to assist the school with a staff common room, Teaching and Learning Material (TLMs) such as textbooks and blackboards to facilitate academic activities.
