Bosome Freho: Dompa Chief Appeals for Urgent Reconstruction of Road Network

The chief said the poor condition of roads in Dompa has become a major concern for residents, motorists, farmers and businesses, affecting the movement of people and goods and limiting economic activities in the area.
According to him, the deteriorating roads have particularly created difficulties for farmers who depend on the road network to transport agricultural produce from their farms to markets and other commercial centres.
He noted that poor road conditions also affect residents' access to essential services, including healthcare and education, especially during the rainy season when some routes become difficult to navigate.
The chief therefore called for urgent government intervention to reconstruct the affected roads rather than relying solely on temporary maintenance measures.
He appealed to the Bosome Freho District Assembly, the government and other stakeholders to prioritise the road network and allocate the necessary resources to ensure that the reconstruction works are undertaken.
Improved roads, he stressed, would help connect Dompa and surrounding communities, reduce transportation challenges, support agricultural activities and contribute to the socio-economic development of the area.
The appeal comes amid ongoing road reshaping efforts by the Bosome Freho District Assembly, which has been using DRIP equipment to improve several roads across the district.
The Dompa chief expressed hope that the community would be included in future road improvement interventions and that a permanent solution would be found to the area's deteriorating road infrastructure.
