Government provides Sekyere maize processing company with logistics

The government through the Ministry of Trade and Industry has provided a brand-new pick-up, 3 laptop computers and a multi-purpose photocopier machine to support the operationalization of the Sekyere maize processing company limited under the one district one factory initiative.

Mr. Benjamin Kingsley Koduah the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area said the factory which was constructed at a cost of GH¢6.7 million, was funded by government with support from the African Development Bank (AfDB); adding that the facility has a capacity to process between four to five tons of dry maize, and five tonnes of maize grits per day respectively.

The DCE therefore thanked the government for the items and entreated managers of the 1D1F to ensure timely maintenance of the logistics and the entire facility.

Present at the handing over ceremony were staff of the Assembly, the governing board, Staff of the company, Nananom and others.
