A heavy loaded truck with registration number GT 5990-X was this morning involve in a ghastly accident at Ashomang Estate in the Ga- East Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.

Driver of the truck who is said to have sustained various forms of injuries is currently receiving treatment at The Community Hospital in Ashongman.

According to an eye witness the driver who was descending from the hilly end of the road at top speed, lost control of the truck loaded with charcoal and consequently  somersaulted into a nearby gutter.

He said the driver could have caused more havoc had he drove straight to the other end of the road where several stores and kiosks have been erected.

However, there were no police presences when Ghanadistricts.com visited the scene.
