BIRIM C:Assembly member gives to Oda ridge experimental school

Mr Kwame Mensah Baah, the Assembly Member for the Residential Electoral Area at Akyem Oda, has donated 72 copies of computer books to the Akyem Oda Ridge Experimental School.

Mr Kwame Mensah Baah, the Assembly Member for the Residential Electoral Area at Akyem Oda, has donated 72 copies of computer books to the Akyem Oda Ridge Experimental School.

The excel package text books worth about GH¢2, 520.00 was donated to the school during the celebration of its Homecoming.

Mr Baah who is the Chairman of the Birim Central Municipal Assembly Sub-Committee on Social Services said he donated the books to encourage and promote the study of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the school.

He urged the students to take their studies seriously in order to become useful citizens in the future not only to themselves and their families but to the society at large.

Mr Baah appealed to indigenes resident outside to come and contribute to the development of the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area.

He pledged to make a similar donation to a selected private school in the electoral area in December this year.

Receiving the books on behalf of the school, Mrs Philomena Ndede, the Headmistress, thanked Mr Baah and promised that the books would be put to good use for the benefit of the students.

She urged citizens in the area to emulate the good example of Mr Baah to come and assist in other areas that can help promote academic excellence in the community.
