LADMA: 42 disabled supported
Forty-two (42) persons with disabilities (PWD) within the La Dade-Kotopon Municipality have been supported by the Assembly to enable them survive in the country and to cater for some of their enormous needs.

Forty-two (42) persons with disabilities (PWD) within the La Dade-Kotopon Municipality have been supported by the Assembly to enable them survive in the country and to cater for some of their enormous needs.
The support which was in a form of cash forms part of regulations which mandates Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to allocate 2% of their District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) to persons with disability.
Informing Ghanadistricts.com about the disbursement of the fund, the Chief Executive for the La Dade- Kotopon Municipal Assembly, Rita Odoley Sowah said that in all GHs 33.670 were disbursed to the PWDs.
According to her, the fund was supposed to be used by them to solve contingencies, expand their businesses, as well asto invest in income generating ventures and also cater for their health needs.
The MCE added that a similar intervention was extended towards a Junior High School student recently whom they supported him with a laptop computer and printer.
He was supposed to use the laptop for writing his exams and the printer for printing them since he has problem with his hand, the MCE added.
