L D KOTOPON: 48 unit committee members sworn-in
Forty Eight (48) unit committee members have been sworn-in to assist assist Assembly members in the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly in the discharge of their duties particularly in revenue generation.

Forty Eight (48) unit committee members have been sworn-in to assist assist Assembly members in the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly in the discharge of their duties particularly in revenue generation.
The members will among others things help identity fields where more revenue could be generated by the Assembly whiles advocating for strategic and innovative ways in ensuring that property rates as well as other revenues are collected on time.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Charles Ashalley Djane who led them to take the oat of allegiance tasked them to help the Assembly members to achieve best results for the betterment of the municipality and Ghana as a whole.
He indicated that the unit committee members comprise atleast 5 members from each electoral area.
Municipal Chief Executive, Rita Odoley Sowah for her part encouraged the members to educate residents on good sanitation practices as well as the need to pay revenues whiles ensuring that those who do not pay the necessary property rates were fished out.
“They are expected to assist us in terms of sanitation, in educating the people on the need to keep their environments clean, helping the Assembly to collect property rates; they also are to supposed find out the needs of their communities for the Assembly to plan towards it,” she added.
Madam Sowah also tasked them to check from contractors who were putting up structures whether they have obtained the necessary permit before putting up any structure.
