The Mampong Municipal Assembly has appealed to the President to nominate a Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area.

Mr.Solomon Nyantakyi, the Aassembly Member for Bosofour, told the GNA that the absence of an MCE was stalling the Municipality’s development.

Mr Nyantakyi said the assembly’s share of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) had not been released because there was no substantive political head.

He said, moreover, the District Development Fund (DDF) and the Urban Development Grant (UDG), which formed a vital source of income to the assembly,  had also ceased and added that the situation was not healthy and needed to be normalized
