An ambulance service department has been created in the Mampong Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region to provide swift and timely intervention during medical emergencies in the area.

The Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Daniel Ohyeaman Appau who made this known during the assembly’s second ordinary meeting recently, revealed that a residential accommodation facility had also been provided for the officers of the ambulance team to make their stay in the area a comfortable one.

In revenue mobilization, Mr. Appau applauded the Assembly for generating a total of GHs158, 657.71 as Internally Generated Fund (IGF) representing 93% of GHs170, 512.00 targeted for the first half of the year.

He was however satisfied with the result so far and encouraged the revenue collectors to continue the good work.

The MCE however cautioned political parties against violence in the upcoming general elections in December.
